Pat, A PPS number is the Irish equivalent of a Social Security number; it identifies a person for social and government services. Hello, I am researching the name FEAN from County Limerick. My Great Great Grandparents, Margaret and Patrick Fean lived in Limerick until they emigrated to Schuylerville, NY in 1867. Their children's names were John, (my Grandfather) Timothy, Catherine, James, Elizabeth, Margaret, J. Patrick, Thomas and Edward.
