No sure where this is in County Tipperary. Have you located it? I have had very little luck looking for THOMAS KENNEDY ( Mine that is.) > Thomas married Mary MURPHY in 1795 in Tipperary. <church record. ) > Ireland. Hi Brenda, Thanks for a reply.I do have a copy of his death certificate from the New South Wales AU Births -Death-Marriage records office and there was no entry made for the names of the parents nor any entry for his marriage and/or the number of children. When I saw that there was a marriage for a Timothy Tierney in 1862-I requested a Copy of the marriage certificate and the ages of this Timothy Tierney and the bride were not entered.I do not believe that this was my TT due to the fact that he would have been in his 60s if this were true.I guess I'll have to see if there is a record of his trial in some record office somewhere in Tipperary.I do have a copy of the local newspaper-The Clomnel Advertiser-printed right after the trial ended.Another brick wall to get around and/or over-It surely won't be the last one. Still searching for Edmond Quirk b. Ireland May 1835...have never found the area in Ireland and his wife Hannorah Ann Dohney/Downey b. abt the same year in Ireland. The 1900 census tells me that they naturalized but cannot find a record of it. They had five children...James b. 1862, Daniel b. 1860, Wm b. 1863 and Mary Ann b. 1866...don't know the name of the fifth child...think, it might have been John? John McCabe b. 1854 in Ireland and died in St. Louis , MO....in 1893. He is very elusive , too! I know where these people are buried ...have them in the census records but, cannot find them prior to 1860 in St Louis (Quirks) and the McCabes...find John in the 1870 census but, not prior and not on ships or naturalization records. Greetings, I have made a couple of enquirys via this site with reference to my search for information on a William Joyce, employed as a groom in the UK 1937.To date no reply, would some one be so kind as to advise me how I would go about tracing this gentleman. With kind regards
I hope you are sitting down, because if you go to this website and type in "Joyce" for the surname, you'll find 20 pages of Joyce's. County Mayo had a lot, but Galway and Cork did, too. There are many other counties listed as well. Good luck. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php We have a Mary Joyce who married John Kinsella, but are pretty overwhelmed with trying to locate them in Ireland.
