Searching for any information on William Dougherty/Daugherty born abt 1750 Ireland (don't have any idea where) married a Mary and had his children in New Jersey starting in 1772. Any information appreciated. Also does anyone know if there are any records in Ireland during that time? Thanks so much Peg
Well, now that it looks like we are back to normal, let's keep up with County Donegal roll calls and add County Down. Of course, if you have roll calls from other counties or unknown counties, feel free to post them. I am going by county as a reminder for those who haven't posted their interests in a while. We have new people every day and you just never know when you will connect with someone. I have connected with two Flynn cousins from a post I made four years ago, and one had info that filled in some of my gaps. -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA, list admin http://www.connorsgenealogy.com All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton

Well, we are slowly coming to life again! I missed you guys. Here's what happening....if you posted to the list since we went down, eventually your message will be posted to the list, and the way they come to the list might not be in the order they were posted. So, have patience and don't repost any messages you may have sent until I let the list know that the backlog is gone and then if your message is not among those posted, it will be time to repost it. Also, remember to keep an eye on the Rootsweb Help Desk if you notice the mail stopping. It sometimes takes them a while and what they say sometimes doesn't make too much sense, but you can get the idea that something is happening that is keeping you from getting list mail. http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/ -- Pat Connors, Sacramento CA http://www.connorsgenealogy.com All outgoing mail virus free, scanned by Norton

Could Any of These Sullivans Be An Ancestor of Yours? 1817- John Sullivan was born in Tralee/Curraheen, County Kerry. John's parents were Catherine (Connor) & Jeremiah Sullivan. Circa 1800 - A Jeremiah Sullivan was baptised in Tralee/Curraheen. This Jeremiah may be John's father. 1800 - This Jeremiah's parents were John Sullivan & Julia SHEA. Facts: 1. John Sullivan WAS my gr-grandfather. 2. Catherine (Connor) & Jeremiah Sullivan WERE my gr- grandparents (John's parents). 3. I believe that Julia Shea & John Sullivan were my gr-gr-gr- grandparents (Jeremiah's parents) because.....the sponsors at John Sullivan's baptism were John SHEA (a relative of Julia SHEA?) and Bridget Connor (a relative of Catherine CONNOR?) The baptisms were at St. John's Catholic Church in Tralee. Any comments or opinions? Thanks! Fran Weeks

Looking for information on my g-g-g-grandfather and am hoping someone on the list can help or offer suggestions as we have been trying to find where he was born for years with no success. John EARL/EARLE b.1811 in Ireland (information from US census record). He came to the US - probably New York, unknown date. He married Lucinda WILKINS abt 1831, she was born 28 Jan 1810 in New York or Upper Canada. They moved to Ontario, Canada where all their children were born. (He may have moved to Michigan at a later date, as that is where Lucinda is listed on census in 1870, but John is no longer listed with the household so may have died before then.) **Additional information: John EARLE was a Presbyterian minister. Any information or suggestions on where to look for more information would be greatly appreciated. Is this surname common in Ireland? Any particular county more so than others? We have not found him yet on any passenger lists. Thanks for any and all help. Marcy Redmond, Oregon USA
