>From The Cork Examiner, 27 October 1862 - INQUEST AT CLONAKILTY.--On Saturday an inquiry into the circumstances attending the death of a young man named John Carr, who, it is alleged, was accidentally drowned on Thursday week at Clonakilty, was held in that town by the coroner of the district. Capt. Roche, of the smack Belle, on board which deceased had been employed, gave evidence similar to the statement made by him at the local police- office on Wednesday last, after which the jury returned a verdict to the effect that deceased was accidentally drowned. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dennis Ahern | Ireland Newspaper Abstracts Acton, Massachusetts | http://www.IrelandOldNews.com - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
