Dear listers, The topic of this list is Ireland Cemeteries and the lister who so kindly posted all the rules etc of list forgot that this is so The mail from a listers telling of her worries of not being able to enter a cemetery must ( In Ireland ) must well fall into this category This list is for sharing information of graveyards in Ireland and we need to know that they are locked and we cannot get into them and how we may solve the problem its a long way from Australia for example to suddenly find that you cannot enter a graveyard because we do not know who has the key etc.......... I like everyone to get along and there is no need for rules and regulations to be quoted to people all the time ........... The Topic of this list and the past emails fall well within the guide lines ......... Topic: A mailing list for anyone searching for their ancestors in cemeteries in Ireland or interested in preserving historical information about these cemeteries (including locating graves, decedents within the graves, cemeteries which have been indexed on the internet and in other written forms, and care of tombstones and the inscriptions thereon) and sharing information about them. I am sorry that I have had to raise this issue but I do not like listers being afraid to list there thoughts and share their needs with us because they are concerned they will be ostracised by the list No more of these tactics please CARA List Admin
Cara - Thank you for this. The "delete" key is my friend whenever a posting does not interest me. It is much simpler than taking time to respond in an unkind manner. We have each joined this list because we are searching. May we all support each other in whatever ways we can in our individual searchings.
