My Catholic ancestors emigrated from Co.Tyrone in 1843. The wife, Ann (nee ?) McCRYSTAL and 4 sons left from Londonderry in May 1843. They sailed on the SS ABBOTSFORD I am assuming the husband, WILLIAM McCRYSTAL, left before that. I can't seem to find him on any ship records. The 4 sons, in order of birth are: CHARLES, JAMES, ARTHUR J., WILLIAM McCRYSTAL. If the naming pattern was followed I believe William's father was CHARLES McCRYSTAL. In CHARLES McCRYSTAL (the son of William) obit it said that he was born in the town of Cappagh, Co.Tyrone. That could be town or townland. There is a village of Cappagh that was an IRA stronghold. Is there anyone that could help me find the Obit, Cemetery,Tombstone, Church for WILLIAM McCRYSTAL and his family and that of WILLIAM'S father CHARLES McCRYSTAL? Here are the Stats as I know them: WILLIAM McCRYSTAL: b.6/1804ca d. 12/24/1864 in Illinois ANN (nee ?) McCRYSTAL b. 8/1798ca d.6/24/1878 in Illinois CHARLES McCRYSTAL: b.3/1828 M. 7/16/1848 in Philadelphia D. 3/25/1898 in Illinois JAMES McCRYSTAL: B. 1836ca D. 4/01/1905 in Illinois ARTHUR J. McCRYSTAL: B. 1838ca M. 9/24/1868 in Illinois D. 3/26/1900 in Illinois WILLIAM McCRYSTAL: B. 12/11/1839 D. 7/18/1861 in Walton, Illinois I question: Where they came from in Co.Tyrone Church they attended Cemetery name where tombstone is Is there an Obit for CHARLES McCRYSTAL the father of WILLIAM McCRYSTAL? Thank you for any response. Carol Anne McCrystal
