I did an online search for your Parish as I was concerned that the time frame you will be seeking a headstone within will be almost illegible to read, unless it has been well preserved and with luck I came across this brilliant site which, although its of the Blair family, does show how bad the stones are and its worthwhile read of the parish of Raloo, but as they are within the confines of a Church of Ireland graveyard your best place to locate anything on the family may be through archives held on these church yards, Now I am not sure if these will be located at RCB Dublin or PRONI --- But RCB you will have to be there bodily to do search and PRONI, I simply do not know. But take a look at this site to see what I mean about weathered stones http://users.cis.net/daver/bl_raloo.htm Cheers Cara Busy building that file on tombstones etc. be back soon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew D. Cara, Thank you very much for your response to my post. I was aware that the ravages of time and negligence play havoc on headstone inscriptions, but was hopeful that someone has access to the church records or give advice on their location. I will check out RCB and PRONI. Thanks also for sending the URL for the BLAIR family, one of my David JUNKIN'S daughters, (Margaret) married a James BLAIR about 1767. The need for further research on the BLAIR family is clearly indicated. All the best to you and yours.
