AGAR/AGER: Parents of John & Luke Agar I have no idea who they were. I have some info that it was County Carlow, also County Cork and various other Counties in Ireland. FACT: I did find a ships list with LUKE AGAR and he was aboard the LIMERICK.1850's. My ggggrandfather JOHN AGAR changed the spelling of the surname to AGER in the US... he arrived abt. 1849. NY>VT>IL>IA, Bremer County Iowa in 1864 The BIRTH DATE that I have for JOHN is b. 26 AUG 1830 d. 07 JAN 1909 burial Alcock Cemetery - IA I would be ever so grateful for any information on the AGAR/AGER line and especially to find out who the parents were? some info I have received suggested the Mother was a Hollingsworth..I have nothing to prove or disprove this.
