I am trying to trace GALLAGHER connections in Donegal Ireland and have been told that my GALLAGHER family probably stems from in and around Creeslough, Donegal. With the scarcity of records in the area and the large number of GALLAGHER families I wondered if by chance anyone had come across: Peter GALLAGHER born approx. 1857 Donegal (my ggrandfather) Hugh GALLAGHER born Donegal DOB unknown (my gggrandfather) Peter married Ellen QUIGLEY and Hugh married Ellen McGHEE. Peter died in Glasgow on 7 October 1937 and Ellen QUIGLEY died there also on 17 August 1900. Nothing is known about either Hugh or his wife Ellen. It would be particularly useful if anyone had any information relating to cemetery transcriptions, etc as I will be travelling to the area in August of this year but any help or suggestions would be gratefully received so that I can follow up.
