Indexed and recorded by Section. There are 18 seperate sections and their importance is that many were for burials of one religion. Further, knowing the Section often defines the time frame in which a burial occured and vice versa. If you know when a burial took place you can narrow the search to specific sections. Obviously, burials in unmarked graves and those with illegible markers are not captured in these volumes. There are however records on mictofilm available through the FHL of the Church of the latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City which give details of burials in chronological sequence starting with the earliest. They are often quite difficult to read but well worth the effort for the information contained in them. They can be ordered to a local branch of the Library and viewed there. Given the enormous number of Burials from 1864 to the present day, the liklihood of finding an individual or family by using the existing books and films is vastly greater than in scrolling through unindexed lists such as this however generous the effort taken to post them.
