Phyllis, a shot in the dark here! I am searching for Margaret Carty whose first husband was a Patrick Birmingham, constable in the RIC in KIlkishen, Co. Clare, later in Labasheeda.They had one child, a son born in Labasheeda who died very young. Patrick Birmingham died soon after the child was born, abt.1878. Patrick's father was a farmer in (perhaps) Tipperary. Any connection that far back? Anita
