I found this obituary in the paper in Portland, Maine USA. I thought that someone in her homeland might be interested in having it. This was the only way that I knew to get it there. Sullivan, 89 TOPSHAM — Margaret E. Sullivan, 89, formerly of Barron Hill Apartments died April 13, 2001, at Hawthorne House in Freeport. She was born in County Cork, Ireland, a daughter of Thomas F. and Ellen McAuliffe Riley, and attended schools in Cambridge, Mass., and Burroughs Business School in Boston. She married Leo D. Sullivan on April 20, 1936, in Cambridge. She was a telephone operator at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge for 30 years. In 1982, she moved to Maine to be near her family. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Brunswick. Her husband died March 29, 1984, and a son, Thomas Sullivan, died previously. Surviving are a son, Leo D. Sullivan of San Diego; two granddaughters, Maureen E. Sullivan of Bath and Christine A. Smith of Brunswick; a grandson, Sean J. Sullivan of Topsham; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church, Pleasant Street, Brunswick. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin, N.H. Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
