    3. Barbara - In Sligo town they were located at the Abbey and at St. John's Church. Outside of the town there are many burial places. Some of these are ancient and predate the formation of the county of Sligo. Gravestone inscriptions have been transcribed and are available free of charge to visitors at the County Library. The same information is available from the Heritage Centre (on line) for a fee.
