As far as I recall there was a large HUGUENOT presence around LISBURN just south of BELFAST and they may have records for the whole of IRELAND. The LINNEN HALL Library in BELFAST has many large volumes of the HUGUENOT Society JOURNAL. If you go too http//: genuki.org.uk/ and clik on IRELAND you'll see lots of stuff and if you type in SOCIETIES you should get a comprehensive list of them in IRELAND. Hope this helps! 1. [IRL~CEMS] DUBRELLE (Huguenot) burials, Athlone
    2. Elizabeth
    3. Here's clutching at straws ... I am trying to trace a Huguenot family of the surname of DUBRELLE. This could be an anglicization of DU BRIEUL. They escaped from France to Ireland after the Revocation of Nantes. Family notes state that the family grave was in or close to Athlone. How would I go about tracking this grave down? I have tried for a number of years to trace the family but keep on hitting the preverial brickwall, including being told by Irish sources to 'go away as Ireland is a catholic country'. I'm afraid I don't find those sorts of comments at all helpful :-) The family consisted of Pierre, Madeleine, a daugher Madeleine and possibly a son Maurice. Help!!! Any concrete suggestions would be most appreciated. Cheers Elizabeth Tasmania

This graveyard, I understand has no markers and appears to have been in a sorry state till some local people got together to work in it...They do not do it for applause, but you have to wonder why the powers that be don't set aside a few pounds to help keep God's Acre neat. I bet they would if it had Celtic crosses and a wee church..
