It is on the coast road from Dublin to Howth with just that between it and the waters of the bay. I expect to pass Kilbarrack on my way to visit family so if you want to give me details I'll see what I can find for you. Gwen
Beverly; I checked my Cork phone book and there is an Edward Fitzmartin in Cork. His address is 51 Manor Hill, Ballincollig, Co. Cork Ireland. You might try writing to him and maybe a miracle will happen. You can't lose anything, and might just find what you need. Regards, Mary
Death certs will not have the burial location included. The most likely way to find this information is to try to get a copy of the local newspaper for the time. This will most likely have the death notice, and location/date and time of the funeral. Other than that, it's a matter of ringing around every single cemetery in the area! The death certificate for Catherine Hyland gives no indication of where she might have lived or who was her next of kin. I think (without looking at the paper) she died at Misericordia. Peace, E Elizabeth V. Cardinal ecardinal0@home.com http://www.geocities.com/evcardinal/
Is it impossible to locate a burial place without knowing the name of the cemetery? I have the death certificate/record of a woman I suspect is my great great grandmother but the name of the cemetery is not included. She lived at least for awhile in the area of St. Andrews in the Westland Row which is Ballsbridge and was a Catholic. Am I wasting my time? Peace, E Elizabeth V. Cardinal ecardinal0@home.com http://www.geocities.com/evcardinal/

Mitchell's "Guide to Irish Churches & Graveyards" lists the Civil Parish of St. Andrews with a graveyard on St. Andrew's Street. It is, howeer , listed as a Church of Ireland. Does the Death Cert say anything about place of death or residence at death? Gene Fottrell nyfd148@home.com > > > Peace, > E > > Elizabeth V. I am looking for the Graveyard and any info on my Gt Grandfather and Gt Grandmother David and Elizabeth WATSON. They were flax farmers and lived at Mullagamenagh on the road to Gillygooley. They were members of the Presbyterian Ch there. All their children went to the Gillygooley School. According to the 1901 Irish Census Elizabeth was a 70 yr old widow. Thanks a lot, donglen of Auckland New Zealand.
To everyone interested in Callan, In Ireland the names Callan and Callanan (my paternal line) are quite distinct. But on emigration people of all origins found it was more socially acceptable to simplify their names. [I still get weary spelling out my full name.] So, I know some of my Callanans changed their name to Callan (and Calnan, Callahan, and Callaghan). So if you think you are Callan, try other spellings back in Ireland. Richard Callanan London, England.
