    1. [IRL~CEMS] Parish of Leck Cemetery
    2. Hi, I was fortunate to have a cousin go to Donegal to find this parish, which she did. However, when she looked in the cemetery for our descendants, there were none. Please know that this info was inscribed on my ancestors headstone. Then someone told me that perhaps about 2 to 5 miles away from this parish was a chapel that was also known as Leck parish. Would any of you folks know of this chapel cemetery? The main parish is located south of Letterkenny. Many thanks, Jeannette

    2. Looking for gravesite of Bolger. William and Maria Joyce Bolger lived in Rahoon parish in Newcastle, Galway. They had at least three children, the youngest of whom was born in 1866. I assume they died in the 1870s to the 1890s. Would like to know where is the grave, when did they die and who is buried with them? Would appreciate any information. Thank you. 1. [IRL~CEMS] Passage West burials
    2. I have records indicating the deaths of several people with a surname FELKINS ( My ancestors) in PASSAGE WEST co. Cork. They were all Catholic and children and adults died in the last half of the 1800s. I visited the town and tramped both the cemetery up on the hill and the new cemetery at the bottom of the hill. I saw no headstones with that name. I have queried the church there and received several baptismal certificates but no death records. The father of the children and his father were master mariners and in the case of the death of several children was listed as the informant on the death certificate. Is there a logical place to investigate next.

    3. Dear Elaine in Melbourne I might be able to help. And there might be a connection to my Kielys. On the Ordinance survey Map #81 of County Waterford and Cork, Knockanore is slightly SW of where the Blackwater River meets the Bride River. There is a church and small cemerery in Knockanore. I took a picture of it in July while ther searching for my ancestors. There is also a very small cemerery in Kilcockan with a mausoleum with the Kiely's name on it. I couldn't get in too far to read the headstones because it was so overgrown. IIf you can receive it I can scan and send pictures of the cemeteries and a portion of the map.to you. It may > be attached to a church in the area but I am not sure of this. > I am trying to locate the graves of my GGG Grandparents James DRURY and > Mary MULQUIN. > Any help is appreciated, > I'll be happy to look up cemeteries in Mitchell's Irish churches and graveyards but it will be immeasurably easier if the following is read and understood before making the request. The listings are by COUNTY then by CIVIL PARISH then by LOCATION alphabetically. Churches are identified by Denomination and if there is a graveyard with the church that is shown. Freestanding graveyards have no denomination identified and may be non denominational. Remember that in the 19th century many catholics would have been buried in Cof I graveyards. Since Civil and Religious parish boundaries often did not coincide, no likely graveyard may appear matching the CP and location. I can then cross reference to Ryan's book to determine what the relevant Religious Parish is and look for the location there. If you do not know the Civil Parish you can find it at << www.seanruad.com >> Gwen
