How do I contact the GRO, for birth records? I have contacted the church to no avail. I also have ordered microfilm from the LDS, and have found some records, but not all. I am searching the area of County Tyrone, before 1892. -------------- Original message -------------- > I know of no one but the General Records Office (GRO) to have Irish Civil > Records post 1864 and sacramental records pre 1864 are with the various parish > churches/Heritage Centers but are not complete records. Using General Records Office as your key words, will get you to the site. CLICK on Birth Records. The information and form you need to use plus the fee is listed. Credit Cards can be used if you use this site but if you go to the individual county records site, credit cards are not accepted. My last 2, I order and received about 3 wks. ago were $8 with the conversion on my card. It takes 6 -8 weeks. However, since Tyrone is in Northern Ireland, I am not sure if this site would have the Civil Birth records. The timeline you are seeking was when it was ALL one country so they may.
