    3. Hi, Ena. Are you sure she was born in Belfast? You are probably already familiar with the website with generations of the DOWLING family that includes Chief Justice Sir James Dowling, and the author J. M. BENNETT who wrote an biography about the Chief Justice and that DOWLING is buried in Waverley Cemetery, Bronte, Australia. You are probably familiar with the website "Find A Grave" with a picture of DOWLINGs grave and a list of others buried in that cemetery. You might check to see if anything "rings a bell." Since surnames often change in spelling when immigrating, I am wondering if a godfather named Arthur HODGSON in the associated tree of James Sheen DOWLING could have any connection to your HODGINS. Also, I saw some reference to Co. Laois in some of the branches and Co. Laois was also known as Leix and Queen's County.
