Hi Ireland Listers After years of searching for my great aunt MAGGIE RESTALL nee BROWN of Perth, Scotland I now find she died at 20 Adelaide Ave, Balmoral, Belfast in 1930. (Thanks to a death notice in the card system at the A K Bell Library in Perth). Where would I find a directory that might tell me the owner of the property and is there is a searchable newspaper for a death notice? I have been to Ireland but doubt I will be back even though I loved it and it is a lot like New Zealand where I live. Would be grateful for any ideas. Cheers Janet New Zealand Ancestors from Ireland I am tracing.. DINEEN (Bandon County Cork). SLOAN and MCGARRITY.

The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland will undertake a limited search if reference numbers of items are provided: they will not undertake a full family history search on an individual's behalf. A number of professional genealogists within Northern Ireland will conduct a search on your behalf for a fee. Ask them about a look-up of RESTALL name in early 1900's Balmoral city directories, but also if they think Land Valuation records might be fruitful in your case.
