Hello, I am new to this list and am in need of some advise. I am searching for my GGrandfather Joseph Sinclair B Aug 1864 in County Tipperary. I know that he moved to England and married my GGrandmother but it is life in Ireland that is a mystery. Family says that he was one of 18 children, protestant and born in County Tipperary. I have a church name of Kilshane , where there are supposed to me family members buried and a parish school name of Bansha, but that is all that I know,.Can anyone send me in the right direction as to how I might go about finding his birth as I do not know his parents names. I understand that Civil Registration in Ireland began in Jan 1864 so that must be a plus for my search. I have located films on the LDS site but as there are so many for 1864 I am unsure which ones to order as they are numbered 1 through to 20's.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dianne Australia

Regarding your search for information on Sinclair. the LDS site www.familysearch.org turned up the following. Note the August 1864 birth does not have a given name. (only surname of Sinclair) You could try for that particular birth record, and if the given name matches that of your Joseph, you have two sisters below for him.
