Roane County Chancery Book: 1824-1845 The following genealogical gleanings were abstracted by the late Willis Hutcherson and Marilyn McCluen and appeared in the old Roane County Historical Society newsletter in the 1970s. Volume 5 Issue 4, April 1974 George MOORE died in June 1842 in Roane County without wife or children. He had four brothers and one sister. Two of the brothers and the sister predeceased him leaving a number of heirs.
