    3. Jean, thanks for the answer. I live on the Washington State Long Beach Penninsula (where Lewis and Clark ended up) on the mouth of the Columbia River on the Pacific Ocean. My best friend lives in Spokane and I will be visiting her sometime this Spring. We had 7 inches of snow on the beach. It HAS been a beastly winter.
