Hi Maureen, Nice website -- still unable to connect any of those Hoy's to my Patrick Hoy -- the Hoy's that I have contacted so far in Iowa don't seem to have ties to Luzerne County, PA which is where Patrick lived before going to somewhere in Iowa approx. 1869 ?? His daughter Ellen married my Gr-Gr-Grandfather John McCann in Luzerne Co., PA in 1852 -- they are a tough bunch to trace !
