THE AGRICULTURAL IRISH GIRL If all the women in the town were bundled up together, I know a girl could beat them all, in any kind of weather; The rain can't wash the powder off, because she does not wear it, Her face and figure's all her own: it's true, for I declare it! For she's a big stout, strong lump of an agricultural Irish girl She neither paints nor powders and her figure is all her own. And she can strike that hard that you'd think that you'd been struck by the kick of a mule, It's "The full of the house" of Irish love is Mary Ann Malone. She was only seventeen last grass, and still improving greatly; I wonder what she'll be at when her bones are set completely, You'd think your hand was in a vice the moment that she shakes it, And if there's any cake around, it's Mary Ann that takes it! For she's a big stout, strong lump of an agricultural Irish girl She neither paints nor powders and her figure is all her own. And she can strike that hard that you'd think that you'd been struck by the kick of a mule, It's "The full of the house" of Irish love is Mary Ann Malone.
I'd have to look to make sure. But I believe so. Judy
Could you see if you have a Michael O'Sullivan-Sullivan and a Johanna-Hanna- Neligan. Married before to a Roirdan. Thanks Judy. The middle Thomas is the father of the Thomas I am seeking. Anne returned to have her children in Ireland at the homeplace. Thomas is not in the Civil Irish records but his birth would have been registered in UK since the law is that child "born at sea" birth is registered in the country where the vessel next docks (i.e. UK/Liverpool). Hoped that there might be UK records for him. Mary Ellen Judysnewname1@aol.com wrote: Mary, 1872 is as new as the McNamara's seem to go in Ireland. Sorry guess I can't be of any help. Judy~ I am looking for the birth record of Thomas MCNAMARA born at sea c 1903 - 1905. Parent's Thomas MCNAMARA and Ann MCFADDEN or could be listed as FADDEN/FAGIN, etc. The port of arrival would be Liverpool from NYC. Both parents born in Mayo - Mother (Anne) Streamstown Westport and the father Newport area. I assume it is 1903 but then you never know. I have the birth certificate of his brother James for 1904 in Streamstown. Great Aunt Anne had better timing for son # 2 :) There is no Civil record in Ireland and per law, a child born at sea has birth registered in country of arrival. Family usually used NYC to Liverpool, packet to Mayo. Thanks, Mary Ellen Chambers Lakewood, OH Judysnewname1@aol.com wrote: Mary, Its possible. Hello all, This is announcement comes from a website that I volunteer for: GenealogyForum.org is celebrating it's 2nd Year!!! In honor of this event, we'll be having Open House from October 16 to October 22!!! Our volunteers will be on hand from 8pm EST to 10pm EST each night to tell you about GenealogyForum.org. They'll also help you with your research and answer your genealogy related questions. And, be sure to join us October 19th starting at 8 pm EST for a special Research Party. Moderators will be on hand to do research look ups in a variety of materials including the census, vital records, and other materials. Not all areas will be covered. But, if we can't fill your request online, we'll do our best to help you off line!!! GenealogyForum.org has grown over the last two years. We started out with a couple of genealogy chats. We've grown by adding resource centers, special topics, and a message board. So, help us celebrate our 2nd year anniversary.
