    3. As of a few minutes ago, I still cannot get onto the RW server, even though I successfully did it yesterday. I seem to be able to access others, though, so I don't know what the heck is going on, but I am beginning to wonder if IRC is really worth the frunstration. . . :~( I think someone else is working to resolve it in the background, though, but I'm not sure at this point where I stand. It is possible that you have been "k-lined" because of that. Please try again in a few days, and write again to the list if you still cannot get in. We can work with the IRC Admins on this, if that is the problem. Valorie <snip>

    3. Is IRC worth the trouble? In my opinion, YES. I started using IRC when I was asked to be on the Rootsweb HelpDesk, and have been there ever since. It's like the watercooler at work -- sometimes all business, sometimes idle chit-chat, sometimes deep personal stuff. You can develop real friendships in IRC, if you stick around. My IRC buddies helped me so much after the death of my mother, and then my cousin. I do have a chat program installed too, but rarely use it. IRC is the best! Don't give up; we will get the problem solved. Valorie On Sunday 28 August 2005 3:00 pm, David E. 3. Maybe you should leave it for another day, to save any stress for yourself. Not worth having a heart attack over. Hopefully it will be ok by then. Just a suggestion. Kaye www.bananatv.com/familytreechecklist.htm

    3. Kaye, I think I've already decided that. :~) I think a friend is trying to do something for me out there, so I am responding to her e-mails, but at this point if it were up to me I would forget the whole thing and stick to e-mail and IM. At least I can make them work! :~) David E. 3. Yes let the teething problems sort themselves out first, not worth the worry. Kaye www.bananatv.com/familytreechecklist.htm
