    1. RE: Grandmother Half- Native!
    2. Gretings this morning: I live here in Sunny Southern California and I am so worried about the beautiful New Orleans and the people's losses. This has nothing to do with my query this morning but thoughts and or prayers sometimes helps. I am starting to do my work regarding my Paternal Grandmothers Blood Father. You see she was born in Wiarton,Ontario,Canada in the year of 1881,August 19. her name given to her by her Mothers husband. Her Mother had a rendezvous with a Native American (or Canadian) he was the Father of my Grandmother. I am trying to track down a good way to begin this research. I understand from various pieces if information both word of mouth and on paper. The Tribes are suspected to be either Iroquois, or Mohawk. I would appreciate any help with finding out the best sources to begin with?(Alice Minerva MUIR/CRUMP) Thanks in advance. In fact, a couple of people in IRC right now are going through the storm. <snip query> This list is not a genealogy list; rather it is about how to use IRC to assist in doing genealogy research. Are you interested in starting up a chat? We can help you with that. Right now I do know of some people in IRC who could help you with the Canadian part of your research. Have you logged in lately?
