    3. Try the County (where Omaha is located) Genealogical Society. Most County Gen. Societies have great records of their residents. Also may have the funeral home(s) listing of clients too. I would bet you could get this information via the internet if you look for Omaha, the County it is located in, and then see if they have a Genealogical Society. They most often would have a website and/or telephone or snail mail address. Often they have volunteers who would be glad to help, especially if you send a small donation ($20) to help them keep their volunteer org. doors open. I've had good luck using this method for the counties I am looking for help from. Sandy in Calif. 3. Omaha is in Douglas County, and the genealogy section of the W. Dale Clark Library in downtown Omaha has extensive records. Try calling them first to see what they have, but as I recall from my last visit a couple of years ago, they had a card index of all Omaha obits from pretty far back in years. ----- Original Message ----- From: "SANDRA CHILDS" <jschilds@pacbell.net> To: <IOWA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 10:09 PM Subject: Re: [IOWA] burial place > Try the County (where Omaha is located) Genealogical Society.
