Cheryl, There was a Campton in an unknown twp. in Delaware co. but I'm sure that's not it. Campton was not there when the now destroyed 1890 census was taken. (American Place Names of Long Ago by Gilbert S. Bahn) William & Emma & their households were in Mahaska co. in 1880 & 1885 with spelling variants.
