    3. Cheryl, There was a Campton in an unknown twp. in Delaware co. but I'm sure that's not it. Campton was not there when the now destroyed 1890 census was taken. (American Place Names of Long Ago by Gilbert S. Bahn) William & Emma & their households were in Mahaska co. in 1880 & 1885 with spelling variants. Ancestry's index for 1895 is not complete for Mahaska co. Dick May you live to be a hundred, with an extra year to repent!
