I am in need of someone who has access to Ancestry who could use the 1990 census index to look-up the following persons: Joseph Koolman in Colorado, either Teller or El Paso County. I know that he died in the Cripple Creek (Teller Co. ) hospital in 1905 and also that he married Jennie Finner 12 Aug 1896 in El Paso Co. Colorado. Thanks for your help. Sorry, Grace. I could not find Joseph Koolman in 1900 census in Colorado or any other state. Do you have any alternate spellings for Koolman? Hello again, Alternate spellings could be Kooleman, Kolman, Kooiman, maybe Coolman, and any could have a double "n" at the end. Thanks to all of you on the list that are helping with this brick wall. I can always count on the Iowa list to be a great assistance. I replied to the list yesterday with some additional information, but my message didn't go through.......I wonder why. So I tried to answer each of you separately with what you asked for. Here a little more that might be of help. Joseph has been found with his family in 1870 in Michigan. He was born 22 Mav. 1862 in Vriesland, Ottawa Co. Michigan. He first married Kittie McBride 12 May 1883 in Berrien Co MI. He next married Jennie Finner 12 Aug 1896 in El Paso Co. Colorado. I don't know of any children, but if the 1900 census could be located it might give that information. Catherine wrote: Sorry, Grace.
