Earl Sorenson called to duty Earl Sorenson owner and operator of the Ames Bowling Center here for the past 13 months has been called to active duty as flight engineer and captain with the air force he announced today.Sorenson who served three years in the Air Force during WW2 will spend 20 weeks at Chanute Field and then will go to California He has been in the inactive reserve of the Air Force. He was processed at Chanute Field last week and he will be in Ames until the latter part of May Sorenson who purchased the Bowling Center about a year ago completely refurnished and renovated the alleys and business.
