I looked for Harriet as well as Hattie since the latter is often a nickname for the former. I find two Harden households in Burr Oak Township, Winneshiek County, IA in 1860 bner W. Harden, age 31, farmer, born in NY Araminta Harden, age 27, born in NY George Warner, age 15, farm laborer, born in IL Halstead J. Harden, age 34, blacksmith, born in NY Ellen Harden, age 30, born in Canada Edgar J. Harden, age 11, born in NY Myron W. Harden, age 9, born in NY Lois A. Harden, age 7, born in NY Beecher W. age 5, born in NY Alvina Willsie, age 20, domestic, born in Canada In 1870 Abner W. and Armanita are still in Burr Oak Township, but there is no one else in the household. 5 doors away is the Halsted Harden family, Ellen, Myron, Lois, Henry W. B., Chloe, age 9 and Sophia, age 83 born in NY East Bridgewater, S. Abington, MA 1860 There is a Harriet Harden, age 13, living in the home of Matthew Lincoln, age 23, and Emily Lincoln, age 21. That all I've been able to find.
