Hi Gayle, It is a great project that has transcribed some biographies and there is an index so you may search for your ancestor. I first found it while researching an ancestor and did a Google search and it took me to a book on the history of Boone County, Iowa. From there I found him in an index and then I went to the Home page and found it came from the Iowa Biography Project.
