Graduated from Batesville high school 1890, and from Northern Indiana Normal School, Valparalso, Indiana, B. S. degree, 1897. Taught mathematics Lincoln Normal University, Lincoln, Nebraska, 1897-1898, and at Shenandoah, Iowa, 1899-1904. During this time studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1904 and has practiced law in Shenandoah ever since then. Served in France with Y. M. C. A. October, 1918, to May, 1919. Delegate democratic national convention, New York City, 1924. Member State Board of Education since July 1st, 1931. A democrat.
