I am searching for records on Mathias and Anna Dvorak, the parents of Rose Dvorak Polansky. Rose was born on Aug. 28, 1856, in Czech. and they came to the USA about 1861, settling near Spillville, Iowa. Do they appear on the 1870 Iowa Census or any later Census, or any special State Census? I am trying to tie that Dvorak family into my Dvorak ancestors. Thanks for any clues. LaVerne Miller --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Need Help finding Lot Baker born 1851/1852, Eng. Lot Baker, was born in 1851 or 1852 in Somerset, England, death date unknown. He came to America in about 1869, then returned to England, got married and stayed in England. Lot Baker may have been living near his 1/2 siblings in Dubuque Co, Iowa, from about 1869 to about 1895, likely in Dodge Twp, around or in Farley. I cannot find Lot Baker1851 in Heritage Quest files. There is a Lot Baker listed on Ancestry, which I do not subscribe too, but would appreciate a look up. Emailing off list is fine.
