You are getting a listing of your directory contents because you have no "index" file. If your site is written in HTML, the index file would be either "index.htm" or "index.html". You need to locate the one which was previously in the "polk" directory and make sure it is transferred to the web server. If its not in your Word setup, go back to your Frontpage setup and locate it. JK Kelly Shaw wrote: > Hello there Iowa list, > I need some help. Now, instead of having my pretty site up and running, I have this www.iagenweb.org/polk/ What is this index I say? Can someone please steer me in the right direction as to how to fix this problem? > > Thanks a bunch, > Kelly > Polk CC > > > > > Kelly Shaw, Polk County Coordinator, IaGenWeb > > Researching: Appleby,Buyers/Byers,Davis,Fodrea,Parisho Surnames > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Meet the all-new My Yahoo! – Try it today! > > > ==== IOWA Mailing List ==== > The IOWA Lists now have their own website with unsub > instructions, list rules and other useful information. > Visit & Bookmark http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~richard/ialist > > ============================== > View and search Historical Newspapers.
