I find three Shinn listings in the 1925 Sioux City city directory: Shinn, Andy, 1709 24th Shinn, Mrs. Clara, residence 1214 Douglas Shinn, Monte (Frances), conductor, resident 1709 24th Leslie listings include: Leslie, Jno W (Mabel) helper Albertson & Co. residence 3117 Morgan Leslie, Marion, 1709 24th Leslie, Mary L. (widow Chas) 1709 24th I don't have any Wooley listings. On the census report are Mont and Frances Leslie Shinn; twins, Robert and Roberta Shinn age 6; Frances' mother, Lucetta Leslie; Francis' sister, Marion C., Leslie age 16; and Mont's father, Andrew Shinn. Lucetta's husband, father of Frances and Marion, Charles S. Leslie was a double cousin to my grandfather, Karl L. Leslie. Frances worked for a newspaper in the Sioux City area in about 1930. Lucetta and Charles were married at Independence, Buchanan County, IA. They may have had other children. I have a photo of Frances and another of Marion. I also have a photo of "Bert" (Roberta) Shinn and J. Leslie. I am looking for information as well as descendents, if possible. Any help is appreciated. I am also looking for information on Charles S. Leslie's siblings, Lillabore Leslie born about 1855, Frank A. Leslie, born about 1862 and "Lizzie" Leslie born about 1864. Charles was born about 1857. Their parents were John Leslie and Elizabeth Pearsall Leslie who resided at Independence, Buchanan County IA. John Leslie died in August 1868 at Independence, IA. In 1879 when Elizabeth's father, Horace B. Pearsall, died, her name was Elizabeth Moore. She is listed in the 1880 census as Eliza Moore ( no husband listed) in Denver, Arapahoe County, CO. Frank and Lizzie are mentioned in the household there. My grandfather said his aunt, Lizzie Moore lived in Denver. I would like to know if there were any other children born to Charles S. Leslie and Lucetta Wooley Leslie or Frances Leslie Shinn and Mont Shinn. I would like to know if there are any descendents of this family. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You!
