Hello, What state census�s were taken after the 1870 Federal one?? I am trying to track down a little closer to the time frame that this family separated. We do not know whether or not the father and eldest son went to war or what became of them and the �idiot 2nd son. [[1870 Iowa Fayette Co. Dover Twp. page 55 Roll M593_391]] BRYAN Henry age 44 b. England -Farmer, Value of Real Estate $400 Wife - Mary age 25 b. New York her father was foreign born (Not!!) Children: Thomas age 19 b. England both parents foreign born John age 14 b. England both parents foreign born "Idiot" The column that is written in gives the following options: Deaf & Dumb, Blind, Insane, Idiotic, Pauper or Convict.
