    3. I have inherited numerous photos (interior and exterior) of the home where my grandmother and sisters were raised by her mother and four of her aunts. I recall visiting one of the aunts, Nina Falk, at the home, which is located in Essex, IA, in the early 1970s. The house was quite grand, and I believe that the adjacent farm was also their property. I would like to find out the address of the home, and possibly visit Essex to see it someday, but I'm not sure how to go about locating it. My grandmother and her aunt are now deceased, and the house is no longer in the family. I thought it might be as simple as looking in a local phone directory from the 1970s. I could also search property tax records, but I'm unsure of the year the property changed hands, or how long it was in the family. I would like to find out where in Iowa (or elsewhere) I might be able to find a local directory, or where else I should begin my search. Thank you, Kathy

    3. You may be able to find date and address in a city directory, if one was published for the area. Try a local library to see if they can be of assistance.
