I'm trying to find out something about the emigrants from Lomma to North America. I've been asked to find out something about some men who went to Iowa, but we don't know if they remained there. Here is what I've found out about them: Hjalmar Larsson (born 1890 Lomma). He arrived in 1911 in Gowrie to Sven Larsson. His niece in Lomma says he married a German woman and they had two children. The letters stopped coming around 1929. From his letters home we find that he 1918-1921 lived in Fort Dodge. Sven Larsson was a farmer and lived in or near Gowrie. He was married to Hanna and they had Luther, Matilda, Frans, Oscar, Emma and Charles. August Peter Hansson (born 1881 Lomma dead 1973 Sac City, Iowa) came 1912 to his uncle Sven Larsson. August was married to Hulda and they had Selma, Hans, Ernest, Edith, Malte Margit, Betty and Ruby. 1920 they lived in Roland. Emil Nilsson born about 1992 came 1911 to his friend Sven Larsson in Gowrie. Alfred Lohman (probably Emil's brother) born 1886. They have been settled in Ohto. Helmont Nilsson emigrated in 1914. According to Ellis Island he went to his Uncle Peter Andersen in Sagnacho, Colorado, but according to Hjalmars letter home - Helmont went to Sven Larsson! Helmont was born around 1895 in Lomma. Martin Svensson (born 1888 Burlöv) lived in Gowrie 1930, married to Adina. They had Violet, VIncent, Mae and Charles. If you can help me with more information about the above mentioned persons and/or their families I'd be very grateful. Yours Birgitta Nilsson
