Dear List, My Great Grandfather built a home in Newton Iowa in 1894. I am interested in getting information on the home, but have not had much luck with it. Dave, Was he still in this house for the 1900 census? If so, see who was enumerated before and after. There may even be an identification of the street in the margin of the cesnsus. This should give you a short list of 8 or 10 neighbors that may still have descendants in the area with knowldege of where your great-grandfather lived.
