My mother-in-law made coffee by putting the coffee and an egg in the coffee pot. She was 100% swedeish and she made coffee this way until her passing in 1994. We made coffee when camping by putting coffee grounds in the water and boiled it in coffee pot or a can. We then put a little cold water in to settle the grounds before we drank it.
