    3. For those researching German locations, I've just opened a database at http://www.tavistock.net/?section=474 that contains over 27,000 towns and villages. Listings give State, Administrative region and County. This database shows locations by their present, not historical, situation and does not include ALL locations in Germany. An additional database entry screen will be added this weekend to allow individuals to add towns which were missed. The system will search by Village or County. It has an error currently which doesn't recognize umlauts. This will be fixed this weekend. In the meantime, enter a minimum 4 character search that doesn't include the umlauted character. i.e. for Aarmühle, enter Aarm i.e. for Abtlöbnitz, enter bnitz If anyone would like to help in expanding on this database, please let me know. There are a number of things I'd like to add but don't have the time to do it alone.
