J. Ages & nativities of all known family members are usually more beneficial than where they were coming from. I find a Conrad & Anna C. Krug, 46 & 50 both born Ger. in 1880 Falls twp, Cerro Gordo co. Sons Henry 19, & Peter 16 are indicated as born Canada, The moppet, Wm. M. 6 is indicated as born Ia. I do not find them in 1870 and young Wm's age would suggest they may have arrived later than you indicated. The 1880 is free on-line at Ancestry and FamilySearch.org.
