Short answer for me would be that there are far more databases available on line (some free and some paid). Also, I post my tree through Rootsweb and receive many inquiries from that as well as pursue leads from other trees that have been posted. --Far more trees than there ever used to be. It doesn't mean that I don't utilize the mail lists (obviously) but perhaps the need isn't as great as it used to be with other resources available. Genealogy interest is definitely still there from what I am experiencing. Sue
