    2. HI, this is very Odd. One of my ancestors was named Jeremiah Shade jr., though not bullfrog.And his fathers name was Jeriamiah Shade Sr.. My Jeremiah Shade was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania June 12, 1823 and died in Ida Grove Iowa March 10, 1890. . He married Andalusia Page September 11, 1856 in Dayton, Ohio. Andalusia Page was born June 07, 1838 in Dayton, Ohio.They the Shades have to be related somehow. and I think Shade is German. Chicago and New York 1931 JEREMIAH SHADE was an Iowa pioneer, and had a notable career as a banker and business man. His career as a banker has been continued through his son, Charles Grant Shade, who for over forty-two years has been connected with the Savings Bank of Lockwood and the First National Bank of Rock Rapids, of which he is president. Jeremiah Shade was born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, September 11, 1828, and died September 14, 1901. His father was a German sailor, who early located in Pennsylvania. Jeremiah Shade spent the first twenty-four years of his life in his native state, had a practical education, and was always a hard worker and possessed of a very excellent business judgment. At the age of twenty-four he went west to Bloomington, Illinois, and engaged in farming there for about ten years. At the outset of the Civil war he volunteered, but was rejected on account of disability. However, he was assigned duty as a cooper, making barrels for the Government. Jeremiah Shade came to Iowa in 1862 and settled in Delaware County, on a farm, and in July, 1871, moved to Lyon County. He became one of the largest farm and land owners in that section of the state and was associated with other progressive men in organizing banks and other institutions. He was elected and served eight years as county treasurer. He was one of the group of men who organized the First National Bank of Rock Rapids, and became president of the institution on May 17, 1880. The other original directors of the bank were T. K. Bradley, B. L. Richards, B. B. Richards and F. A.
