    1. Elbridge Robinson born abt1841 MA
    2. Elbridge Robinson born about 1841 in Massachusetts the son of William Nye Robinson and Clarissa Sinclair. This Robinson family lived at Barre and Hardwick MA, also later in Lowell Vermont. I have found Elbridge in the 1860 census living at Petersham, Worcester Co., MA in the household of a John L. Weeks - can't find anything further on Elbridge after this date. Elbridge's sisters, Alice and Clarissa, married Turners and these families went first to Illinois and then to Iowa, perhaps Elbridge went there too? Wondering who he married? Elbridge's brother, Rawson, faught and died in the Civil War, did Elbridge? Any information appreciated - thank you so much Janice

    1. Re: [IOWA] Correction-Looking for descendents of Hiram Jarrard
    2. Shirley Siltala
    3. Hi, Jeanne, The Lettie who is the daughter of Hiram and Mary Jarrard may not be the correct Lettie, since she would have been born about 1873. In the 1930 census, there is a Lettie B. Elder, husband James D. Elder, and they are 42 and 41. She was born in IA, father IA, mother PA, and they were both first married when they were 26. Was Jarrard definitely her maiden name, and if so, was her father's name definitely Hiram? I'd be very glad to give you a start in the right direction, since I've been there! Since you're new and you're looking for your ancestors and their descendants, I'd suggest tracking them through the census as best you can. Ancestry's census and its many databases is one good possibility, but another alternative is HeritageQuest through the Godfrey Memorial Library with certain indexed census years, as well as historical newspapers and genealogy books. Check it out at www.godfrey.org -- at $35 per year, it's one of the best uses of my genealogy money. I understand some libraries provide it free in their libraries as well. Once you get started, it's like eating potato chips and you'll want to find more people, anyway! Shirley in Tucson
