William was b. 4 June 1848 and d. abt. 28 April 1936. He was the son of ira Blackwood and Paulina Hattabaugh. Ira Blackwood was b. 14 Oct. 1810 and d. 29 Sept. 1857. He was the son of James Blackwood and Sarah "Sallie" Holmes. They married in Clark County, IN on 6 July 1810. I haven't found much on James Blackwood but believe he was born in late 1781 possibly in Orange Co.. NC. His wife Sallie was born in Delaware about 1781 and was the duagher of Robert Holmes and Patience Salmon. Do you have a connection to any of these Blackwoods? James and Sallie had children: Julia Ann, Theresa, Melissa, Ira, Selina, and maybe a daugher named Mary as well as an infant male who died at birth. James and Sallie were living in Jackson Co., IN. when they died.
