    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Stacy & Daniels Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Ti.2ADI/626.1.1 Message Board Post: I don’t know for sure what to tell you. The truth is I have made no progress on Charles Stacy and Mary Daniels. I do have an entry from the family Bible which lists a Mary Francis Stacy born 10 Mar 1850? (The date is very hard to read) I have always assumed she was from the second marriage because his first wife died 9 months after her last child in 1844. I can find no records of him anywhere beyond the 1840 census. My info on him; !CENSUS:1830 Washington Co., Indiana pg 318 !CENSUS:1840 Washington Co., Indiana, Brown twp pg 178 !BIRTH:Family Bible DAR Rec. FHL#850417 !Mark Cimmers has his death date as Nov 1885 in Indiana. But he wasn't on the 1850 census, Where would he have been? With 2nd wife? We go back and his children with his first wife come this direction but Mary Daniels is almost a total blank. Now, having said that, I will tell you what I have found that I can’t prove as any connection to our family. In the 1860 census in Clay Co., Illinois I find a family on pg 555; George Daniels 26 England Edith A Daniels 22 Illinois Harriet A Daniels 1 Illinois Mary Robertson 49 England Philip A Stacy 18 Indiana Mary F Stacy 10 Illinois On the 1870 census in Clay Co., Illinois, Oskaloosa pg 130; George Daniels 31 England Adaline Daniels 32 Illinois Alice Daniels 11 Illinois Eveline Daniels 9 Illinois Sarah Daniels 7 Illinois Mary Daniels 5 Illinois Florence Daniels 2 Illinois Ida M. 3/12 Illinois And on page 138; James Phillips 68 North Carolina Mary Phillips 54 England Sarah E. Not all information verified and/or documented. Not all are my direct line (only those denoted by *). Please use this as a guide and contact me or the source for more information. I am actively making updates and corrections and reposting the information. With luck, this will enable cousins to contact each other and provide each other with more complete information and actual documentation. I include much more than my direct line because of all of the intermarriages and the possibility of finding clues on all of those women without first and last names! This lady has combined the wives names, but I don't believe that is right, because there are two marriage records, and Safety is a family name. ================================================================================ General Notes for Child Sophia Stacy ================================================================================ Batch #: F511941, Sheet #: 05, Source Call #: 1553543 Batch #: F859231, Sheet #: 18, Source Call #: 1396150 Batch #: F859231, Sheet #: 18, Source Call #: 1396150 ================================================================================ General Notes for Child Abijah Austin Stacy ================================================================================ !CENSUS:1840 Washington Co, Indiana, Brown tws. !CENSUS:1850 Howard Co., Indiana, Clay tws. pg 476 !Abijah was in the Kansas Volunteers during the Civil War, and severly cut with an axe while on a wood cutting detail.
