    3. Hello List, I am working on the genealogy of a group of pioneers in Parke Co IN who are buried in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Florida Twp. These include Hiram CATLIN and his wife Mary. According to the database of early marriages at the Indiana State Library, Mary's surname was GUITTE. I've looked on your web site and on Ancestry, and I can't find another person in the state of Indiana with the surname Guitte. This couple was married November 28, 1822 in Washington Co IN. Hiram Catlin was from Washington Co KY previously. My main purpose is to find a family for Mary Guitte in Washington Co IN if at all possible. If anyone is interested, I can send more information on this family. The community where they lived in Parke Co came to be known as Catlin's Station, because of one of their sons who had a railroad station. Later it was just called Catlin. The purpose of the community was to act as a hub for the surrounding farms, selling goods via the rail road. There's not much left any more. In another matter, there will be a tombstone restoration workshop at Mt Olivet on Saturday, May 22 from 9-3 PM. Helen Wildermuth of Stonehugger Cemetery Restoration and Mark Davis of Stonesaver Cemetery Restoration will conduct the free workshop. Signs will be posted from Rockville, the county seat. Helen and Mark are working on 30 tombstones during a two week period at Mt Olivet. More information available if anyone is interested. Sharon Mills Morgan Co IN
