Marsha, Levin Merlin Charles (1824-1876) was the son of Jonathan and Peggy Charles. I don't know how he is related to William and Elisha. Levin married Mary Wyman, daughter of Henry Wyman Jr. and Anna Catherine Boss. Anna Catherine was the daughter of Henry Boss and Mary Boss of Rowan (later Davidson) County NC. I only know one children of Levin and Mary who lived beyond childhood. James Edward Charles (1865-1929) married Nancy J. Howell and they are buried in the Martinsburg Cemetery. If my suspicions are correct, Jonathan was the son of Levin & Mary (Tomlin) Nicols Charles (originally from the Kent Co, DE area via NC.) Mary Nicols was the widow of the Founder of the Nicolites (religious sect much like the Quakers only stricter.) Very interesting people. Thanks, again.
